Stratford Regional Station

Architect: Ove Arup & Partners
Client: London 2012   Olympic Delivery Authority

In preparation for the London 2012 Olympics,  a new north-facing exit and ticket hall are currently under construction at Stratford City Regional Station.

The £125m project includes refurbishment works and major new access platform improvements all based on Aworth survey data.

Both the existing passenger subways will be extended to connect with the new ticket hall, and the abandoned subway at the eastern end of the station, which formed part of the old station complex, will be reopened and refurbished to allow interchange between platforms 3-12 and the new high-level platforms 1 & 2.

In addition a new pedestrian bridge may be built to connect Stratford shopping centre with the Stratford City   development.  This   will   also   connect   the mezzanine-level and northern ticket halls.

The station will be the key transport hub and the main gateway station to the Olympic Park.
