55 Baker Street

Architect: Make Architects
Client: London & Regional

The recently completed 55 Baker Street development and former headquarters for Marks and Spencer with its distinctive sculptural effect of the building’s exterior is carried through into the interior, where it articulates the contrast between the existing structure and newly-built elements and reinforces the singular identity of 55 Baker Street at every scale.

Aworth Survey Consultants were able to assist Make Architects with their scheme at every stage of design and construction producing detailed floor plans, elevations and sections, enabling them to design and develop their vision for the development based on accurate survey drawings.

Monitoring surveys were undertaken whilst demolition works were progressing to monitor any movement in the structural frame as the existing façade and internal walls were removed.

The design grid baselines were set-out on all floors by Aworth for the construction team ensuring the project build could be set-out and installed with confidence.
