Boutique Hotel Awards | Sun Street Hotel awarded World’s Best City Hotel

We are thrilled the recently completed Sun Street Hotel has been awarded World’s Best City Hotel in the Boutique Hotel Awards.

The Sun Street Hotel incorporates the façade of the six Georgian terrace buildings on Sun Street – which were originally townhouses and elegant shop fronts. These have been converted into the 41-room 5-star boutique hotel, restaurant, and members’ club. 

From the outset, the decision was made to preserve the Sun Street terrace and integrate it into the new One Crown Place development. 

Aworth Survey Consultants has been involved with the prestigious scheme from the pre-planning stage in 2006, and through to completion, having provided a wide range of surveying services in collaboration with the project team; Architects Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), Development & Project Managers CBRE, principal construction contractor (One Crown Place) Mace and principal contractor (Sun Street Hotel) Hatmet Ltd.

Andrew Pullinger, Project Manager at Aworth Survey Consultants, said: “One Crown Place and Sun Street Hotel from its conception has pushed the boundaries of technical surveying capabilities, adopting new digital tools, BIM software and cutting-edge survey equipment. We are incredibly proud to have played a part throughout this project and credit to the hard work our site surveyors and office team put in, to ensure our surveying services and expertise, delivered accurate survey data seamlessly.”
