Aworth achieves RICS regulation

March 07, 2019

Aworth Survey Consultants is delighted to have passed the rigorous standards needed to achieve regulation by RICS - the global professional body promoting and enforcing the highest international standards in the valuation, management and development of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure.

RICS (The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) sets globally recognised standards for professional members and RICS regulated firms to follow when conducting their work. The organisation ensures these are upheld by the profession through its system of independently led regulation.

RICS can trace its history back to 1792 and, today, its regulation includes aspects such as standards of conduct which covers competence, ethical conduct, service standards and consumer protection.

“In a complex and rapidly changing marketplace, clients seek confidence and security,” says John Witherden, Managing Director at Aworth Survey Consultants. “Now we will be able to offer this additional layer of confidence when prospective and, indeed, existing clients look to engage us.”

He continues: “We have always run the business along strict codes of conduct but this accreditation clearly shows people that we practice to globally recognised ethical and professional standards. It’ll also be good to be listed on the RICS website and to carry the organisation’s logo on our website.”
