January 18, 2019

Charitable housing association L&Q has entered into a £62m forward funding deal with residential developer HUB and investor Bridges Fund Management.

The association fund and take ownership of two blocks which are part of HUB’s wider Taberner House development in Croydon. L&Q will provide shared ownership and London Living Rent apartments in the two blocks, increasing the overall level of affordable housing to 172 homes on the development.

Steve Sanham, managing director of L&Q, said: “The deal with L&Q follows a huge amount of collaborative working with multiple stakeholders and, importantly, Croydon Council”.

Aworth are understandably proud to have provided topographical, measured building surveys and underground services surveys for this key regeneration site in Croydon of the former Croydon Council Offices and The Queens Gardens. Completion of the Taberner House development is expected in 2021.
