New Street Names Revealed for Moulsecoomb Housing and Community Hub Development

February 16, 2026

We are delighted to reveal the street names for the new Moulsecoomb Housing and Community Hub development: Flintfield Drive, Thorncroft Close, and Chalkvale Mews. Chosen by local residents, these names were inspired by the area’s unique history, topography, and geology.

This ambitious project, delivered by Brighton & Hove City Council, will provide more than 200 new council properties alongside a new community hub. Designed to provide social, economic, and environmental benefits, the scheme prioritises the public realm and landscape design. Carefully planned routes and gathering spaces will connect the community, creating a safe, inclusive, and accessible environment for all.

The success of this landmark scheme is built upon the foundation of Aworth Survey Consultants’ precise data. Our team supplied extensive survey information, including 2D topographical surveys, measured building surveys, elevations, and site sections. Additionally, we produced 3D topographical survey data to support BIM modelling and the design of computer-generated imagery.

The project has already gained industry recognition, having been shortlisted for the ‘Best Development’ category in the Inside Housing Development Awards.

With construction currently underway and completion expected in 2029, we are proud to have been appointed by Brighton & Hove City Council for this development. We look forward to continuing our partnership and providing high-quality land and measured building survey data for their future projects.
