Here at Aworth Survey Consultants, we are joining with the rest of the nation in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a wonderful Platinum Jubilee. She is the first British monarch to ever achieve this accolade, which celebrates a remarkable 70 years of service.
We are reflecting on projects that we have worked on over the years which have a royal connection, including the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore; the Royal College of Art; Royal Naval College, Greenwich; Royal Veterinary College; Royal Berkshire Hospital; Windsor Castle; and HMS Belfast.
In 2019, we were proud to be involved with a Rawthmells, a new café at the heart of RSA House in John Adam Street, London, an iconic project which cemented our longstanding relationships with both the RSA and a number of the other professional firms involved with this building.
Over the years, we have worked with the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) on a number of previous projects, including surveying for refurbishment of the many historic rooms. Our long experience of dealing with historic buildings is key, as we are used to working within these types of spaces and complying with all the ethical and professional standards which are expected.
Here at Aworth Survey Consultants, we are proud to be regulated by the global professional body RICS, which was incorporated by Royal Charter back in August 1881 when our Queen’s great-great grandmother Queen Victoria was on the throne.
RICS will be marking this historic occasion by taking part in the lighting of the Platinum Jubilee Beacons on the evening of Thursday 2 June.
